Ammanford's Mark Packer certainly knows how to keepy-up his talents.

By day he's senior accounts clerk with Ashmole and Co but get him out of the office and he turns out some of the finest female footballers that Wales has to offer.

Just for the record, his daughter, who he began coaching way back in 2011, now plays rugby for The Harlequins and the England team.

"There's no denying that we're one very sporty family," says Mark from his home at Clydach. "And I suppose this was how it all started. I began coaching football when my daughter was 11 and in no time at all I found myself coaching, playing, watching just about any sport I could find and when I wasn't needed on the sidelines on a Sunday morning, I was refereeing."

For the past 11 years Mark has coached girls between the ages of 5 and 16; as well as being the girls football co-ordinator for Ammanford AFC, he now sits on the West Wales Women and Girls Football League Committee where he serves as Treasurer.

And in addition to his coaching, he continues to play six-a-side in Pontardawe Leisure Centre and Clydach Sports AFC.

A native of Craig Cefn Park, Mark was a pupil at Morriston Comprehensive School before attending Neath College and Swansea Institute of Higher Education to gain his AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualifications. He did his accountancy training with Bevan & Buckland before moving into industry as a company accountant and subsequently joining Ashmole & Co.  And if the company's committment to sport is anything to go by, this was a wise move.

"Ashmole offers financial support to a signifcant number of junior and professional sports teams across south Wales and the Ammanford office has only recently shown its support to Ammanford AFC by sponsoring coats for all the members of the girls' teams," said Mark.
