Llandovery firework display has been cancelled due to concern over increased coronavirus rates.
Organisers, Llandovery Town Council, has confirmed that the event that was set to take place on Saturday, November 6 has been called off this year.
It marks the second year in a row where firework displays have been cancelled in some areas across the region after displays were called off last October due to the pandemic.
A statement from Llandovery Town Council said: “Due to the local spike in Covid rates, we regret to inform you that Llandovery Town Council has taken the decision to cancel the event.
“We would like to thank all those involved who prepared so well for the event."
The statement continued: “We apologise for any inconvenience and hope that the event will be able to proceed next year.”
