There will be no Festival of Senses in Llandeilo for 2021 but committee members are calling for more people to join the team to make 2022 "bigger and better".
The next festival AGM is set to take place on Thursday, September 16, at 6pm in Yr Hen Vic, Llandeilo.
Festival chair, Christoph Fischer has announced he will be stepping down after the 2022 festival.
“By then I will have been at the helm for five years," he said. "Festivals thrive from change and new ideas and by 2022 it will be time for someone else to make their mark on the event. I will be available to stay on as committee member if the new chair so wishes and will always support the event I love. People who want the event to continue should consider coming forward and learn the ropes.”
Mr Fischer said insurance issues and the uncertainty surrounding Covid regulations led to the decision not to hold an event this year.
Committee member Clare Thomas said: "We are holding as many fundraising events for Llandeilo as possible. That way we can make sure 2022 will truly be bigger and better than the festivals before.”
