Exceeding the speed limit twice in the space of a month cost 63-year-old Vyvian Thomas Holden, of Bryncastell, Llandybie a total of £374 in fines and costs .
He appeared before Llanelli magistrates on Wednesday and admitted exceeding the 30mph speed limit by 5mph on Llandeilo Road, Llandybie in a Vauxhall Vivaro 2700 Sportive Panel Van last May. Under the single justice procedure he was fined £40; must pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34; and costs of £110.
He was further fined £190 for a second speeding charge a month later at Fairfach. His licence was endorsed with seven penalty points in total, but he escaped a disqualification under the totting up procedure.
