Gwendraeth valley primary school children have been doing their bit for the community by planting fruit trees in local parks.
The green-fingered pupils from Ysgol Llechyfedach and Ysgol y Tymbl planted fruit trees in Parc y Mynydd Mawr and Parc Heol Singleton while Ysgol Cross Hands planted an orchard at Cross Hands park.
The apple and pear trees are part of a community council scheme to establish community orchards in the parks.
