The A48 between Cross Hands and Carmarthen was closed for around two hours on Sunday after a car with trailer crashed.
Fire crews from Tumble and Carmarthen attended the incident which happened shortly before 3.30pm.
A spokesman for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue said firefighters assisted one male patient at the scene.
Police closed the road "to protect the public and those at the scene" and asked people to avoid the area.
The Welsh Ambulance Service was called and an emergency ambulance was sent to the scene, however it is understood that noone suffered serious injuries.
