Llannon Young Farmers have raised raised £1,000 to help British Heart Foundation Cymru (BHF) beat heartbreak forever.

They raised the funds through various different events throughout the year including events such as carol singing within the local community.

Rosie Davies Secretary of the group said: "We are delighted to support BHF Cymru, a charity that has helped so many people affected by heart conditions."

Jayne Lewis Fundraising Manager for BHF Cymru in South West Wales thanked Llannon Young Farmers for all their help and support.

She said: "It was wonderful to see all the members helping to raise funds for BHF Cymru.

"We are really grateful for the donations collected and would like to thank everyone who supported and donated funds.

"I can’t thank you enough for your continued support throughout.’

This month in Wales, 750 people will lose their lives to cardiovascular disease which will devastate those they leave behind.

BHF Cymru is funding pioneering research to find preventions, treatment and cures for people living with these conditions.

"Too many lives are lost in Wales each year, and BHF Cymru is determined to do everything we can to protect more families.

"It’s only through the support and generosity of Llannon Young Farmers that we’ll be able to fund even more research into heart conditions.”
