Gorslas Welfare Association has announced that Gorslas Carnival will be returning this year.
The event didn't take place last year as building work was expected to begin for the new village school at the Welfare Park.
Welfare Association chairman, Ellis Davies said: “There was a lot of disappointment in 2018 when the village carnival was put on hold as the Welfare Park was not expected to be available.
"Although building work has yet to start on the new school, we are going ahead with the carnival this year,”
The event will be held on Saturday, June 15.
The carnival procession will follow the usual route, along the main road from Heol Cross Hands to Gorslas Square before turning on to Church Road and ending in the Gorslas Industrial Estate.
Application forms for carnival floats can be downloaded from the Gorslas Welfare Association website - gorslaswelfare.org.uk.
“The Welfare Association would like to thank Dyfed Powys Police and the Highways Authority for their support of the event," added Mr Davies.
Further information about the event will follow in due course after arrangements have been finalised.
