A DRIVER has died following a crash in Cross Hands.
The incident, yesterday at 4.30pm, happened on Llandeilo Road.
A car had left the carriageway and collided with a lamppost before coming to rest against the front of the house.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "Despite the best efforts of members of the public, police, fire and air ambulance crews, the driver of the vehicle was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"No other vehicles were believed to be involved and no one else was hurt.
"The house did not suffer any structural damage and no one was home at the time of the collision."
Police are now appealing for witnesses.
