AHEAD of the royal wedding this weekend, an Ammanford school have joined the build up and took part in a ceremony of their own.
Canolfan Yr Enfys, formerly known as Ysgol Bro Banw Special Unit, hosted a mock wedding on Monday, May 14 to celebrate the friendship Isobella Petty and Harri Jones.
At 10am, the bride walked down the aisle in front of her friends and staff at the school.
Staff member Anthony May undertook the role as the vicar and conducted the ceremony.
Guests enjoyed singing along to songs and all cheered as the duo marked their friendship by signing the register.
The ceremony was followed by pictures outside in the sunshine as well as a cooked dinner where Isobella and Harri cut the cake.
Wedding guest and headteacher Mr Evans said: “I was excited to be invited to the wedding to mark the lifelong friendship of Harri and Isobella.
“All the children looked amazing.”
The mock wedding was to mark the Year 6 leavers who all had a role in the wedding,
Harri Jones, Groom; Denis Cadir, Best Man; Isobella Petty, Bride; Connor Rice, Father of the Bide, Kia Rainford, Bridesmaid; Cellan Jones, Usher and Caleb Thomas; Registrar.
