POLICE cadets from Ammanford swapped the classroom for the coastline as they supported people with mental ill-health.
On Saturday, members of the Ammanford Volunteer Police Cadets took part in 'The Welsh 1000 Walk'.
The walk is a national charity walk which supports 'Mind'.
The walk is a major event which saw fundraisers circumnavigate Wales, including Anglesey.
The Ammanford Cadets walked the leg from Loughor to Pembrey a distance just short of 14 miles.
The event was a fantastic opportunity for the Cadets to challenge themselves, while raising money for a commendable cause, and reinforcing the team building work undertaken as part of their training.
