A judge has today ordered the arrest of a Llandeilo man who failed to attend his own sentencing hearing.
Alfie Davies, 19, had been due to be punished for inciting a child to engage in sexual activity via his mobile telephone.
Davies, of Taliaris, had admitted the offence at an earlier hearing at Swansea crown court.
Judge Paul Thomas said on that occasion he had been instructed to co-operate with the probation service in the preparation of a report into his background.
But it appeared he had been in breach of that order too.
Davies’ barrister, Dyfed Thomas, said he feared Davies was “burying his head in the sand.”
Judge Thomas issued an arrest warrant not backed by bail. Davies will be held in custody once he has been located by the police.
“Ordering his arrest is the only way we are going to get him here,” added the judge.
