Crowds have gathered in Ammanford to celebrate St David’s Day.
New market stalls purchased by Ammanford Town Council made their debut and were filled with traders selling goods.
Town councillors attended the event alongside local shop owners and residents.
Visitors were treated to a performance by Jac Y Do and pupils from Ysgol Dyffryn Aman took to the stage to perform ‘Ni yw y plant’ in a flash mob style performance.
A wealth of activities were organised by Menter Bro Dinefwr in conjunction with Carmarthenshire County Council’s economic development division and Communities First, as well as a window display competition which was judged by Huw Ffas.
iSmooth Community Café were the lucky winners of the competition.
Sarah Jones from Menter Bro Dinefwr said: “We have had an excellent day.
“The event is getting bigger and better each year and next year we hope to add more activities to the list.
“There has been a big buzz in the town which has been noticed by traders.”
