Motorists are being warned of hazardous driving conditions this morning (Saturday).
Freezing overnight has left road surfaces extremely slippery and extra care should be taken.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning of potential snow and ice on road surfaces throughout the morning until noon.
Forecasters are predicting another cold day with sunny spells and scattered wintry showers, mainly, possibly heavy and perhaps thundery.
Showers are expected to fall as snow, especially over the hills, but are expected to become increasingly isolated through the afternoon.
Tonight is expected to be cold and see clear spells with isolated wintry showers, bringing further snow oversome hills.
