A TEENAGER who died when the car she was in left a mountain road and plunged down a ravine has been named.
Elin Davies, 19, of Glanaman, died in the incident on the A4069 mountain road near Brynaman at 8.50pm on Sunday of last week.
Three other women were airlifted to Morriston Hospital following the accident.
One victim was discharged from hospital on Monday afternoon after being treated for broken bones and another is understood to have sustained a broken leg.
The condition of the third occupant who suffered multiple injuries was said to be stable.
Local county councillor David Jenkins said: “My heart goes out to the family of the dead girl and to the families of those who were injured.”
An inquest has been opened and adjourned.
Meanwhile, police have named a 26-year-old lorry driver killed in a collision on the A48 near Maesybont on Thursday. He was Alexander Ratcliife Jones, from Raglan in Usk.
