RESIDENTS of Powyswho use a child car seat have the opportunity next month to have them checked out free by the county council to ensure they are fitted correctly.
Powys County Council’s Road Safety Unit has arranged five car seatcheck days across the county.
One of the checks, which takes only a fewminutes to complete, will take place between 9am and 3.30pm at Tesco car park, Ystradgynlais, on Monday, March 11.
Cllr Barry Thomas, county council cabinet member responsible for road safety, said: “I encourage anyone who uses a child car seat to make use of check days.
“These checks will not cost you anything and could ultimately save your child’s life.”
