Scamp Theatre and Honest Arts present Stripped, a truthfully witty yet touching show based on real characters and encounters from the writer and performer Hannah Chalmers past experiences working as a stripper. (Don’t tell her mum!) A wickedly funny, achingly honest look at the glittery and tawdry world of lap and pole.

Through the eyes of the impressionable newcomer, Baby; Stripped exposes the intricacies and secrets of the dark, deceiving world of the Strip Club. The innocent novice finds herself bombarded with ruthless club rules and surrounded by tough veteran strippers. She is manipulated and used, until she is finally forced to discover the depths of her sexual power and adapt from the exploited to the exploiter.

Boundaries are pushed, rules broken, relationships abused and dignity tested, as the men pursue sex and the women compete for money in this gender struggle for power.

Stripped is written and performed by rising talent Hannah Chalmers, this show has fast become a top-pick of the fringe and it’s easy to see why. Chalmers portrays a variety of characters with such precision and charm creating a show that is engaging and riveting throughout. - Lizzie Edmonds Edinburgh Fringe Nick Stevenson the Programme and Promotions Officer at Carmarthenshire Theatres said "It’s fantastic to have this great show come to The Lyric, it’s had rave reviews, plus we should attract audiences from all over the country as we will be the only venue in Wales to have this show".
