Nine more famous faces have been added to the BBC’s Biggest Weekend line-up in Swansea.

Sam Smith, George Ezra, Liam Payne, Rita Ora, 30 Seconds to Mars, Stefflon Don, Mabel, Sigrid and Camila Cabello will all be placing across the two-day festival which takes place at Singleton Park on Saturday, May 26 and Sunday, May 27.

BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show host DJ Nick Grimshaw announced the new additions to the line-up during his breakfast show this morning.

Performing alongside Ed Sheeran on Saturday will be Sam Smith, George Ezra, Liam Payne, Sigrid and Mabel.

Craig David, Jess Glynne, Wolf Alice and Years & Years have already been confirmed for the day.

The new acts appearing with headliner Taylor Swift on the Sunday are Camila Cabello, Stefflon Don, Rita Ora and 30 Seconds to Mars.

James Bay, J Hus and Niall Horan have previously been confirmed for the Sunday.

Camila Cabello, who stormed the charts with the single Havana last year, said: “So excited to be part of The Biggest Weekend. I can’t wait! See you in Swansea.”

Robert Francis-Davies, cabinet member for culture, tourism and major projects, said: “The BBC’s Biggest Weekend is going to be a truly memorable occasion for Swansea and for Wales.

“We’re hugely proud to be one of the four host cities.

“Last year’s City of Culture bid raised our profile across the UK and among some of the most influential people in the business of music and entertainment.

“It’s going to be a fantastic occasion, it’ll be a great boost to local tourism, hotels and restaurants and I’m sure names like Sam Smith, 30 Seconds to Mars, George Ezra and Stefflon Don will only add to the excitement.”

“News of yet more internationally-acclaimed acts coming to Swansea for the Biggest Weekend will only build on that.”
