Ammanford Cricket Club were hit for six in the final league game of the season.
They faced a record defeat of 223 runs in their final league match against St Fagans at the Park.
St Fagans amassed a formidable 311 for eight, having elected to bat first.
However, the eight wickets resulted in the four bowling points Ammanford needed to secure their status in Premier 1 next season.
A majestic innings of 141 by Jeremy Lawlor, comprising 12 fours and nine sixes, underpinned St Fagans' vast total.
Lost in Lawlor's shadow, Lorenzo Machado managed 57 runs in a partnership totalling nearly 150 runs.
Fahad Sabir and Daniel Roberts put on an accurate bowling display, but when they rested, Lawlor powered through.
Sabir and Tom Bevan took three wickets each.
At tea, an Ammanford win seemed unlikely. Still, the speed and depth of their defeat was disheartening.
It kicked off with Tom Bevan's first-ball dismissal, his century the previous week having ensured Ammanford of league survival.
Despite Dan Roberts's stoic effort of 29 runs, the wickets unceremoniously collapsed, with Ammanford bowled out for a mere 88 inside 23 overs.
On the winners' side, Owen Morgan captured five wickets for just 20 runs in his six overs.
This stark loss underscored the vast gap between dominant St Fagans and survival-minded Ammanford, a divide that must be bridged to prevent annual relegation fights.
In parallel, Pentyrch, despite their last-gasp win against Swansea, were relegated alongside Neath, who lost to Usk by a narrow two-wicket margin.
Ammanford's second XI experienced a heartbreaking last-ball defeat at St Helens, edged out by a single run against Swansea. Swansea scored 222 for five.
Despite impressive performances from Fraser Benjamin (61), Tomos Roach (53no), and Benjamin Thomas (42), they failed to meet the required runs inside their 45 overs by just a single run.
They concluded the season in a commendable fourth place in their league.
Ammanford's third XI finished their season on a high note with an emphatic eight-wicket victory over Tata Steel Cavaliers, ending in third place in division 7 of the SWCA.
Tata batted first and were all out for 106 inside 28 overs.
Sion Evans was the star of the show, claiming five wickets for 12 runs.
An opening partnership of 80 between skipper Steve Hagget (50no) and Josh Davies (42) ensured a smooth victory for Ammanford in just 18 overs.
