LLANDEILO Cricket club is starting the new season with changes to its coaching team.

A new coach has been appointed and will be helping captain Rob Davies with the running of the 1st team, as well as taking over overall coaching for all teams.

Jeff Evans from Betws, played for many years with Ammanford and will now play for the 1st XI and his new ideas and drive should help improve all the players.

After the closer relationship with the local communities during Covid and closer connection with the football club, the cricket club finds itself in a prime position for 2021.

A new design of the White Bull kit based on royal blue will see the club moving forward, pink balls are also to be used.

With junior cricket being provided for five to eleven year old boys and girls it is hoped to provide a pathway for future generations and secure the club.

Chair Trevor Vennett-Smith said: “The positive actions of the committee over the last stagnant months has brought the club into a position of strength and financial stability.

"The support in donations and grants from the local area has been outstanding, especially our major sponsor Centaframe PVCU Systems Ltd.

"The club is really pleased with the way it has integrated and progressed in the local community.”
