Scarlets take on Dragons on Friday as they continue their push towards the top of conference B in the Pro14 standings.

Their Boxing Day win over the Ospreys brought them level on points with second placed Connacht and 12 points behind conference leaders Munster.

The Scarlets now have three wins from their last five games in the Pro14 and have now won their last three in all competitions following two victories in the Heineken Champions Cup.

They will want to keep their momentum going when the Dragons visit Llanelli for a 5:15pm kick off on New Years’ Day.

The Scarlets have had an indifferent season with four wins and four defeats to their name but their recent form may be a sign that things are beginning to turn for the men in red.

Angus O’Brien scored Scarlets’ only try in their last game while the boot of Dan Jones kept them in the game and his conversion saw them over the line.

The Dragons sit fourth in conference A going into the game and have only won twice in their last five Pro14 games.

The Dragons were beaten by just a single point in their Boxing Day game against the Cardiff Blues and they will be eager to get back to winning ways.

They have also been inconsistent this season with three wins and four defeats from their seven league games so far.
