FOLLOWING their long-awaited return to football last week Cwmamman United wasted no time in arranging another friendly.
They welcomed Tier 4 side Dafen Welfare AFC to Grenig Park on a chilly Wednesday evening for a match under the floodlights.
With the match under strict Covid Protocols and with very limited attendance Grenig Park certainly had an eerie feel to it.
It continued to be an opportunity for both sides to create some match fitness while getting used to playing alongside each other.
With Cwm once again getting used to playing at their home ground the match was a stop start affair but the deeper strength of the Cwmamman side enabled them to come out 3-1 winners with goals from Geraint Rees, Ryan Hurlow and Luke Williams who was returning after an extended injury period.
Dafen ensured it was a keenly contested match and would have been pleased with a solid performance against a higher tier side.
Cwm will have been pleased to see their build up play looking much better than last week but will clearly see areas for improvements to work on.
