Ammanford - 6

Kenfig Hill - 44

With several enforced changes Ammanford received a real drubbing from Kenfig Hill.

Ammanford started positively and took an early lead from a Ryan Williams penalty.

Kenfig Hill came back forcefully and after a couple of phases that narrowed the home defence a long pass found the wing all on his own to score in the corner.

The home reply was another penalty to go back into the lead. After half an hour Kenfig Hill started to take control and a powerful drive from the line out they added the second try, which was converted.

The powerful visiting pack forced their way over with the last move of the half, giving Kenfig Hill a 6-19 half time lead.

The second half started badly with no Ammanford forward wanting to take the kick off and allowing the visitors to win a pen and extend the lead.

The score stayed the same until the last quarter when the visiting 12 decided to stamp his mark on the game. Firstly he supported a mid field break to go 40m to score.

He followed this up by bursting through a weak tackle on the half way line before showing the defence a clean pair of heels.

He completed his hat-trick from an attacking error by Ammanford inside the visiting 22. The ball was kicked down field and the chase was won by the visitors that allowed the centre to score.

This meant the final score had extended to 6 – 44.

Ammanford will hope to get their act together next week as they travel to Dunvant.
