LLANDYBIE Men's Tennis Club strengthened their league position as they picked up a whitewash victory over Rhondda Tennis Club last week.
The men's team had been due to play two matches, however, they travelled to Rhondda with one win already in the bag after Swansea Tennis Club were forced to concede their match.
Swansea were meant to travel to Llandybie for the fixture, but were unable to get a team together for the trip.
Llandybie made it two wins for the week in dominating fashion as they beat Rhondda by six events to nil.
Iwan Nicholas and Sam Ewens got things off to a great start in the opening pairings, before Iestyn Davies and Harry Mackay matched their efforts, winning both of their events.
Captain, Jonathon Thomas, and Emyr Nicholas rounded off the successful day, winning both of their events as well.
Things were less positive for the ladies' side, who were on the wrong end of a six event to nil scoreline.
They travelled to Swansea Tennis Club for their Premier League encounter but came away empty handed.
The pairings for the ladies' side were Chloe Alpine and Tracey Alpine, Helena Nicholas and Eryl Davies, and Lucy Page and Venetia Simpson.
The matches were supported by Bobbie Harries
The Ladies team travel to Cardiff Castle for their next fixture.
The men’s team have their play-off games at home to David Lloyd Tennis Centre, away to Aberaeron tennis Club and away to Llanelli Tennis Club, the dates for which are still to be arranged.
