Neath Premier Division

Bryn Rovers - 4

Cilfrew Rovers -1

Bryn Rovers picked up another important three points as they continue their push at the top of the Neath Premier Division.

Goals from Mark Griffiths, Kieran Jones, Adam Campbell and an own goal saw the hosts pull off a 4-1 victory over Cilfrew Rovers.

Griffiths handed the home side an early lead when he headed home Julian Jones’ inch perfect cross.

Cilfrew fought back and drew level from a header of their own, before Dylan Thomas was forced into a smart stop to prevent the visitors from going ahead.

After a brief quiet spell, Bryn bounced back and retook the lead through Kieran Jones, giving his namesake his second assist of the day.

Man of the match Julian Jones then hit the bar with a left footed effort of his own.

Cilfrew’s job was made harder in the second half when they were reduced to ten men.

From the resulting free kick Adam’s shot cannoned off the post to safety.

But he wasn’t to be denied and from a flick on from a goal kick, gave the on rushing goal keeper no chance.

A fourth soon followed as another Julian Jones cross was sliced into his own goal by a defender.
