Veteran Gwyn Williams marked his 86th birthday by winning his frame, but Pont Cons A ultimately crashed 6-1 on their trip to New Lodge A in Division One of the Llanelli and District Snooker League.

Tom Rees starred for the Lodge with an 83 break while Martin Tucker (37 & 27 breaks), Mark Tucker, D Hughes and Jonny Wilcox also won.

Craig Rees, Kieran Evans and Kevin Sellwood were on top as Pontyberem were edged out 4-3 at Llandybie Social A. Karl Evans, Lyndsey Pugh and Peter Howatson won for the home side.

Llandybie RFC enjoyed a 5-2 win against Upper Tumble Blues, courtesy of Dylan Jones, Rhodri Treharne, Liam McGhee and Sion Isaac. Mark Hughes and Alan Samson replied.

Matchroom B climbed to the top following a 5-2 victory against Cross Hands B while Burry Port Legion crashed 5-2 to visiting Morfa. Elwyn Lewis, Tyler Rees, Alan Jones, Andrew Williams and Leighton Davies gave Snooker World a 6-1 win against Pontardulais Workmens’ while Bryn posted a 5-2 success at Llanesco B.

In Division Two, Burry Port Reading Room Blues suffered a 5-2 reversal at Llanelli Cons B while Cons A edged an aggregate 4-3 win at Reading Room Reds.

Electric B won 5-2 at Calsonic Rivals and Matchroom A nicked a 4-3 win at Penygroes RFC, for whom Paul Garritty and Chris Waters struck.

Snooker World B appear to be running away with Division Three after another 6-1 win, this time at Cross Hands C. Victory came courtesy of M Wood, Callum Jackson, Andrew Whitfield, Jac Evans and Corey Gleaves. Only M Griffiths averted the whitewash.

Mike Dodd, Tudor Lloyd, Julian Wilde and Mike Davies earned Gorseinon a 5-2 win against Tycroes RFC B, whose winning pair were Matthew Davies and C Jones.

Phil Evans provided Pont Cons B’s solitary frame win after a 6-1 loss to New Lodge B. Marcus Courtney, G Langford, Andrew John, Archie Davies and B Bachelor all won for Lodge.

Trimsaran B edged a 4-3 victory at Ponthenri, for whom Robert Regolla (34 break) and Alun James won .

Meanwhile, Great Mountain,Tumble, thrashed Llandeilo Hall 7-0 with Anthony Stephens, Elton Rees, Tomos Evans, Mark Martin, Adam Benikaritis and Alan Jones completing the rout.

Kristian Rees, Tom Carey, Dai Mayhew and Dai Porter gave Pont Cons C a 5-2 success at Loughor where Mark Jones and Matthew Donald won for the hosts.
