THE latest round of Llanelli and District Snooker League fixtures were decimated by the weather with many teams unable to travel due to the slippery driving conditions on Wednesday.
Of the seven matches that did survive only one took place in Division One, where high-riding Morfa took full advantage with a thumping 7-0 victory at Snooker World, Ammanford. On winning form for Morfa were Bernard Price, Keith Moore, Daniel Bowen (30 break), Nigel Rees, Nicky Hughes and Scott Ashford.
In Division Two, leaders Cross Hands B also took maximum advantage to extend their lead at the top with a 7- 0 victory against Bryn and Trallwmthanks to the efforts of Jamie Gimblett (46, 27 breaks), Mark Martin, Mark Davie (51, 41), Nigel Harris (27, 30) Alex Dickie (35) and Adrian Phillips.
Chris Keenan was Llanelli Cons A’s solitary frame winner in a 6-1 loss at Electricity C. For the latter, Wynford Samuel, James Griffiths, Richard Nurse, Duane Evans and Keith Thomas all won.
Joe Phillips and Viv Roach won for Llanelli Cons B who lost 5-2 to visiting Electricity B, whose winning four were Dale Evans, Scott Ellerton, John Lewis and Gareth Morgan.
In the third division, three matches survived.
Darren Williams, Cliff Wilcox, Jordan Davies and Darren Thorne gave Gorseinon Workmens’ B a fine 5-2 win against high-flying Llanesco A, for whom N Brain and S Jay replied.
Pontarddulais Cons C were comprehensive 7-0 winners at Upper Tumble Reds. Tom Carey, Kristian Rees, Dai Fisher, Steve Evans (32 break), Jordan Thomas and Julian Williams completed the rout.
Elsewhere, Anthony Davies and Brian Edwards won for Calsonic Rivals, who were defeated 5-2 at home by Pontarddulais Cons B.
Darren Butler, Alan Hiddlestone, Robert Davey and Jamie Bishop won for Bont.
