The July meeting of Cwarter Bach Community Council was held at The Black Mountain Centre on July 3.

Work has commenced at the Cefbrynbrain Play Area work.

Rhosaman Play Area – The Council with the help of The Western Valley Sustainable Hubs Grant has provided the additional equipment which has been installed at Rhosaman. This new improved amenity will hopefully attract children from all over the community – the picnic tables alongside the River Amman should prove particularly popular. Thanks are also due to the enormous help given by Charles Gabe – Valleys Area Regeneration Development Officer – his guidance with the grant application was invaluable.

Parking – Brynamman Post Office – Another letter is to be sent requesting a 20 minute restriction notice.

County Councillor’s Report.

Has responded to many personal request – mostly regarding Social Services & Housing problems.

Work at Arfryn Estate to commence soon.

Swimming Pool – Public Meeting to be held at Black Mountain Centre on Monday 8th July at 7.00pm.

Meeting held at Ystradowen Community Centre - to discuss financial support for Administrative Assistant, also provision for much needed photocopier.

The re-seeding of Bryn Avenue Park to commence soon.

Response to Mark Drakeford – Health Minister. --- The Council welcomed the response from the Minister and in particular his policy re Health Boards needing to work together to manage cross-border issues. The Council will reply in writing making the following important point… “We welcome his response but most importantly HE must ensure that Health Boards work together to put the ‘SYSTEMS INTO PRACTICE’ – patients lives are at stake”.
