Ammanford AFC has accepted the resignation of the club's manager after 12 years and more than 400 games in charge.
Gruff Harrison has stepped down from his role at the helm of the club, having taken charge of more than 400 matches.
Harrison - who had come through the youth ranks as a player and a coach - became the club's youngest manager in December 2012, taking over from Craig Maloney at the age of 23.
He started his managerial journey with an away win against Cardiff Corinthians on December 8, 2012, when the club was in eighth place in Welsh League Division 3.
Under his leadership, the club achieved promotion in the 2014/15 season to the third tier and then to the second tier of Welsh football in the 2017/18 season.
The club has remained a consistent fixture in the second tier since.
Harrison also led the club to a memorable victory against top-flight Carmarthen Town in December 2019.
He has been instrumental in nurturing young talent and attracting former professional footballers like Lee Trundle, Andy Robinson, and Leon Britton to the club.
In the 4,267 days of his management, the club's off-field stature has grown significantly, with matchday attendances increasing from less than 50 to more than 200 regulars.
The club now features in the popular video game 'Football Manager' and has been frequently showcased on TV programmes like Sgorio, Heno, and Soccer AM.
Ammanford AFC chairman Rob Thomas paid tribute to Harrison, saying: "There is little more I can add to all the wonderful tributes already paid to Gruff from around Ammanford and the Welsh footballing community.
"During my tenure as chairman, he has been a pleasure to work with, both from a footballing perspective and as a person.
"When it comes down to it, personal health is much more important than football and I personally, as well as the club as a whole, completely endorse Gruff’s reasons to step down.
"We sincerely hope that he benefits from his break away from the game.
"I wish you nothing but the very best Gruff and look forward to seeing you at the Rec watching your beloved ‘Town’ as a supporter."
The club has expressed its gratitude for Gruff's dedicated service over the past decade.
The senior coaching team of Sean Cresser, Wyn Thomas, and Jack Long will take over interim management duties.
