AMMANFORD AFC were unable to halt Pontypridd Town’s charge to the top of the Cymru South as two goals in each half earned the hosts a solid 4-0 win to move above Llantwit Major.
After a goalless first half an Aiden Lewis free kick opened the scoring for the hosts, before Drew Fahiya secured the points with a brace, including a stunning overhead strike, worthy of goal of the season.
Sam Johnson completed the scoring for unbeaten Ponty, who took advantage of Llantwit’s 2-0 defeat at home to Swansea University to go two points clear at the top of the league table.
