THE new Tesco superstore which opened in Ystradgynlais on Monday has enlisted the help of pupils from a local primary school to create an area of greenery at the store.
Twenty pupils in years three and four at Glanrhyd Community Primary School helped store manager Jason Thomas and staff to plant trees at the superstore site onWind Road.
Jason said: “We wanted to invite the local school children to be a part of our plans to help enhance the store environment.”
Opening celebrations will continue on Sunday (December 11, 11am- 3.30pm), when the store will have three real reindeers available for customers to meet, pet and feed, along with a Santa’s grotto and festive presents for children.
