A NEW folk and acoustic music club has been set up at the Tregib Arms pub in Brynaman. Hosted by Henry Marten's Ghost the new venue will run the first Thursday of each month starting on Thursday, May 1.
The opening night will feature a performance of traditional Celtic music from two members of Henry Marten's Ghost, Padraig, on guitar/vocals, and Gill O Shea, on melodeon.
Ron and Marilyn who run the pub hope to attract other talent to the pub. They have already attracted artists from further afield.
Cardiff duo Toreth, who play traditional Welsh music, have also showed an interest in playing at the pub. The pub has ample parking and hosts a good menu of bar food.
Duos or single artists interested in playing there can contact the Tregib Arms on 01269 823 290 or Henry Marten's Ghost via their website at www.hmg-irishmusic.com
You can also catch Henry Marten's Ghost at the New Hall Hotel, Llandovery, on Friday, May 2, at 8pm, and at the Golden Lion, Penybanc, on Sunday, May 4, at 8pm.
