THE grand final of the first-ever Carmarthenshire Pop Idol contest takes place this Saturday, May 21.
Theatr Elli have had to turn people away as all tickets are now sold out. The judges will have a tough task choosing which of the 30 contestants should win the coveted prize of overall winner of Carmarthenshire Pop Idol 2005, plus the winners of the individual Categories - Tot Idol, Teen Idol and Pop Idol.
Along with the title, there will also be cash prizes for the winners - Tot Idol £50, Teen Idol £75 and Pop Idol £100, plus a further £100 for the overall winner.
As it's the grand final, the judges will not control the outcome alone, as the audience will get the chance to vote for their favourite.
There will be a guest appearance from last year's Pop Idol Winner Delme Thomas, along with up-and-coming band DV8.
Organisers have also announced there will be a winners and runners-up concert on Saturday, June 18.
