Dyfed-Powys Police have urged motorists to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible.

A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "Officers are at the scene of a collision involving two vehicles on Penybanc Road, following an incident reported just after 2pm today.

"Minor injuries have been reported at the scene.

"The road is closed pending vehicle recovery."

The force also took to social media to advise drivers of the disruption and to encourage patience while the road remains closed.

A post on X, formerly Twitter, from Dyfed-Powys Police said: "There are currently delays due to a collision.

"Please be patient and take an alternative route if possible or plan extra time into your journey.

"Thank you."

The closure has led to traffic delays in the surrounding area as emergency services work to clear the scene and recover the vehicles involved.

The road is expected to reopen once recovery is complete.
