AN AMMANFORD man accused of twice attacking and strangling a woman is wanted after failing to show up to court.
Barry Llewellyn, of Pantyffynnon Road, was due to appear at Swansea Crown Court to enter his pleas to four offences.
It was alleged that he attacked and strangled a woman in Ammanford on May 2, and launched a similar attack – causing the woman actual bodily harm – on August 4.

He was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, assault by beating, and two offences of intentional strangulation.
Llewellyn, 43, was granted bail at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on August 6, and the case was sent to the Crown Court.
However, the defendant refused to attend to enter his pleas – breaching the terms of his bail.
“Mr Llewellyn is not present in court,” defence counsel David Singh said.
“I do not know the reasons for his absence.”
Judge Catherine Richards issued a warrant for Llewellyn’s arrest.
