The owner of a chapel in the Amman Valley has revealed youths caused criminal damage to his property.
Last Monday (August 26), five youths were caught in Bryn Seion Chapel in Glanaman.
According to owner Michael Brown, the youths trashed the school rooms.
The police have confirmed there was criminal damage at a derelict property on Glanaman High Street at approximately 8pm.
Police have identified the people involved and the crime is under investigation.
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Dyfed-Powys Police received a report of criminal damage at a derelict property on High Street, Glanaman, on August 26 at approx. 8pm.
“Officers have identified those involved and our investigation is ongoing.”
On the same day, emergency services were called to a fire at the former Workmen’s Hall in Garnant at 7pm, which forced Cwmaman Road to close and multiple fire crews called to action.
The fire service said it believes that the fire was started deliberately.
However, police have confirmed the criminal damage to the derelict property on High Street, Glanaman, is a separate case to the Workmen’s Hall fire and is not related.
