A MAN has pleaded guilty to strangling two people in Ammanford.

Thomas Griffiths, 27, of Maesybont in Glanaman, appeared at Swansea Crown Court charged with two offences of strangulation.

It was alleged that he strangled a man and a woman on July 10 in Ammanford.

Griffiths pleaded guilty to both charges.

Hannah George, appearing for the defendant, said that he had no previous convictions for violent offences, and made an application for a pre-sentence report – which was granted.

Griffiths was granted bail, and will return to court on September 17.
