More than £800 was raised at Llandeilo Bowling Club's 2024 presidents' day.
Last Saturday, August 10, saw the annual event become a fun-filled day, with all proceeds benefitting Macmillan Cancer Support, club president Gareth James' chosen charity.
The day kicked off with "the spider", a knock-out bowling competition where more than 40 bowlers bowl to a central jack at the same time.
Surrounded by laughter and anticipation, the prize of a bottle of champagne eventually went to Pat James.
Club captain Jamie Davies then put bowlers into four random teams for an afternoon filled with hilarious games.
A demanding mix of skittles, blindfolds and bullseye targets resulted in merriment and lively banter.
Victorious Phil Latham, Dai Thomas, Amy Dyer, and Philip Hancock walked away with club embossed mugs.
The president's team, however, fell short and were only able to claim wooden spoons as their memento.
Maintaining the jovial atmosphere was King Jones, barbecuing in a cheeky apron.
The resulting spread was a feast for the eyes and the stomach, with members bringing dishes to create a sumptuous communal meal.
A raffle brought the eventful day to a close.
Such was the generosity of the club members that everyone seemed to return home with a prize.
Summing up the afternoon, Mr James highlighted the mural at their Parc Le Conquet site which reads "Gyda'n gilydd yn gryfach" - "stronger together".
The president's day saw a grand total of £850.50 raised for Macmillan Cancer Support.
