A NUMBER of footpaths in the Amman Valley have been closed for six months.

Carmarthenshire County Council placed a notice in the public notices section of the February 1 edition of the South Wales Guardian advising of the changes.

The footpaths in the Glanaman area will be closed due to tree felling works which is set to take around six months to complete.

The changes affect the following footpaths:

  • Footpaths 3/60, 3/61 and 67/23 from the junction with footpath 3/62 proceeding northwards past the junction with footpath 3/61, until joining footpath 67/24. From the junctions between footpaths 3/60 and 3/61 proceeding north-easterly to a point where footpath 67/23 meets New Ceidrim Road.

It is a continuation of the temporary emergency closure put on the paths by the council on January 16.
