A PLANNING application for the conversion of a barn into a mixed-use building has been submitted to Carmarthenshire County Council.

The application – reference PL/05233 - was submitted by Carwyn Rees for an agricultural building on Green Grove Farm, Llangadog.

The plans include the conversion of the building into a mixed use building which would include two events and wedding venues according to the notice placed in the South Wales Guardian public notices section on January 25 by the council.

It will also include the building of two buildings as extensions.

The notice states that the proposed development could affect a right of way under Part III of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

There is also a second planning application relating to the above development which was also placed in the public notices section of the paper by the council.

This application - reference PL/05280 – relates to the removal of condition 7 of a previous application (reference PL/00543). The condition is to preserve the use of existing roadway for public use by horse riders, cyclists and walkers, along with the use for crossing livestock and in the event of an emergency.
