HERE are a number of the speeding drivers from across the region who recently appeared in court.

Anthony James Griffiths, 50, of Trinity Close, Pontarddulais, admitted speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on January 16.

He was caught on July 8 doing 33mph in a Toyota C-HR on the B4296 Grovesend, where the limit is 20mph.

He was fined £66, given three points on his licence and ordered to pay £34 surcharge.

Julie Jones, 47, of Alltywerin, Pontardawe, admitted speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on January 16.

She was caught on July 11 doing 35mph in a Benelli Tornado on Ynysmeudwy Road, Pontardawe where the limit is 30mph.

She was fined £220, given three points on her licence and ordered to pay £88 surcharge and £90 costs.

Alistair Jonathan James Murray, 42, of James Street, Pontardawe, was found guilty of speeding by Cardiff Magistrates Court on January 16.

He was caught on July 18 doing 27mph in a Volvo XC90 on Belgrave Road in Gorseinon where the limit is 20mph.

He was fined £220, given three points on his licence and ordered to pay £88 surcharge and £90 costs.

George Bullons, 47, of Parc Nant y Felin, Ammanford, admitted speeding at Llanelli Magistrates Court on January 17.

He was caught on June 27 doing 41mph in a Citroen Berlingo on the A483 Talardd Villas near Ffairfach, where the limit is 30mph.

He was fined £75, given four points on his licence and ordered to pay £30 surcharge.
