A NUMBER of drivers from the region have recently appeared in court on speeding charges.

Lisa Waters, 34, of Llwyn y Bryn, Ammanford, admitted speeding at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates Court on August 9.

She was caught on March 26 doing 36mph on A64 New York Road, where the limit is 30mph. She was fined £40 and given three points on her licence. She also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Christopher Ian Davies, 41, of Campbell Road, Llandybie, was found guilty of speeding by Cardiff Magistrates Court on August 10.

He was caught on February 28 doing 35mph on A483 Fabian Way, St Thomas, where the limit is 30mph. He was fined £220 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Jessica Indeg Lewis, 61, of Black Lion Road, Capel Hendre, admitted speeding at Bath Magistrates Court on August 9.

She was caught on January 14 doing 37mph on A372 Westonzoyland Road near the M5 Bridgwater, where the limit is 30mph. She was fined £78 and given three points on her licence. She also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Lisa Marie Hendy, 30, of Bancyddraenen, Capel Hendre, admitted speeding at Llanelli Magistrates Court on August 15.

She was caught on February 21 doing 39mph on the A483 Talardd Villas near Ffairfach, where the limit is 30mph. She was fined £66 and given three points on her licence. She also had to pay £34 surcharge.

Jack Andrew Wyn Dobbs, 21, of Coed Bach, Pontarddulais, admitted speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on August 10.

He was caught on January 27 doing 36mph on North Road, where the limit is 30mph. He was fined £130 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Andrew Evans, 50, of Carmarthen Road, Llandeilo, was found guilty of speeding by Llanelli Magistrates Court on August 16.

He was caught on February 21 doing 35mph on B4302 Talley, Llandeilo, where the limit is 30mph. He was fined £220 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
