A Llandovery road will be closed for three days later this month.

A section of the C2156 Cilycwm Road in Llandovery is to be shut between 9pm and 6am each night from Monday, August 22 to Wednesday, August 24.

The area of the road which will be closed will be “from a point 264m north of its junction with the A483, New Road for a distance of 95 metres in a northerly direction.”

A spokesperson from Llandovery Town Council said: “The closure is necessary to ensure public safety whilst the removal of vegetation and stonework repairs are carried out on the underbridge.

“The alternative route for Northbound traffic will be to proceed along the C2156 in a Southerly direction to its junction with the A483 (New Road).
