A NUMBER of Ammanford residents have recently appeared in court.

Liam Stephen Harries, 22, of Pantyfynnon, Ammanford, was found guilty of driving without a licence by Llanelli Magistrates Court on July 27.

He was caught on December 17 outside Tycroes Primary School on Pontardulais Road driving a Yamaha Yzf R125 motorbike without a licence that allowed him to ride it.

He was fined £220 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

William Kevin Fitzgerald, 29, of Cwmamman Road, Garnant, was found guilty of speeding by Llanelli Magistrates Court on July 28.

He was caught on February 10 doing 41mph on A474 Pontamman Road, where the limit is 30mph. He was fined £440 and given four points on his licence. He also had to pay £44 surcharge and £90 costs.

Emlyn William Thomas, 33, of Saron Road, Saron, was found guilty of driving without a valid test certificate by Llanelli Magistrates Court on July 29.

He was caught on March 17 on Plas Avenue, Aberystwyth, with no test certificate in force for the Seat Ibiza he was driving. He was fined £220 and ordered to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

He was also in court on the same day on a charge of failing to provide information which the court also found him guilty of. This offence was committed on March 18 when he failed to provide Dyfed Powys Police with information relating to the driver of the Seat Ibiza which was believed to have been involved in an offence.

He was fined £660, given six points on his licence and ordered to pay £66 surcharge and £90 costs.

Alexeanne Cherrington, 42, of Jones Terrace, Glanamman, was found guilty of speeding by Llanelli Magistrates Court on July 28.

He was caught on February 8 doing 81mph on Overpass A48 near Pensarn where the limit is 70mph. He was fined £220 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Kayleigh Ann Prosser, 35, of Caemawr, Ammanford, was found guilty of failing to provide information by Llanelli Magistrates Court on August 1.

She committed the offence on February 10 by failing to provide information relating to the identity of the driver of a vehicle believed to have been involved in an offence. She was fined £660 and given six points on her licence. She also had to pay £66 surcharge and £90 costs.

Hywel John Williams, 41, of Station Road, Upper Brynamman, was found guilty of failing to provide information by Llanelli Magistrates Court on August 1.

He committed the offence on March 18 when he failed to provide information to Dyfed Powys Police in relation to the identity of the driver of a vehicle believed to have been involved in an offence.

He was fined £660 and given six points on his licence. He also had to pay £66 surcharge and £90 costs.

Arwel Evans, 51, of Penygroes Road, Blaenau, was found guilty of failing to provide information by Llanelli Magistrates Court on July 28.

He committed the offence on March 10 when he failed to provide information relating to the identity of a driver believed to have been involved in an offence when requested by Dyfed Powys Police.

He was fined £660 and given six points on his licence. He also had to pay £66 surcharge and £90 costs.
