A man will be appearing before Swansea magistrates this morning charged with the murder of Matthew Thomas who died following an alleged assault outside The Arch nightclub in Neath.
He has been named as Daniel Pickering, 34, from Hampshire.
Matthew Thomas was discovered in Commercial Street, Neath Port Talbot at 12.50am last Friday morning, July 15. He was taken to hospital but died the following day.

South Wales police are now appealing to anyone who was either inside or in the vicinity of The Arch Nightclub at around the time of the incident to contact the major crime investigation team via, https://mipp.police.uk/operation/62SWP22B51-P01 quoting reference 2200236046.
Meanwhile police have confirmed that Mr Thomas’ family are respectfully asking to be left alone to grieve in peace. They are currently being supported by specially trained officers.
