A NUMBER of people from the Amman Valley have been in court recently for a range of offences.

Elisha Grace Taylor, 18, of Myddynfych, Ammanford, admitted driving without insurance at Llanelli Magistrates Court on July 8.

She was caught on January 24 on Wind Street in Ammanford and fined £120 and given six points on her licence. She also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Michael Morgan, 34, of Gwaun Henllan, Ammanford, admitted two speeding offences at Swansea Magistrates Court on June 27.

He was caught on August 12 doing 57mph on the M4 westbound near Port Talbot, where the limit is 50mph. He was fined £207 and given three points on his licence.

He was caught on October 22 doing 61mph on the M4 at Port Talbot. He was fined £207 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £41 surcharge and £85 costs.

Richard Michael John, 47, of Derwydd Road, Ammanford, admitted speeding at Llanelli Magistrates Court on July 8.

He was caught on August 25 doing 36mph on A483 Llandeilo Road, Llandybie, where the limit is 30mph. He was fined £66 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Scott Croucher, 36, of Woodfield Road, Llandybie, Ammanford after he failed to appear at Llanelli Magistrates Court on July 11.

Croucher has been accused of breaching his community order – imposed by the court on July 15, last year – by failing to attend unpaid work appointments.
