A LLANDOVERY man has been given a suspended sentence for three offences.
Ross Kevin Barry, 34, of Kings Road, Llandovery, admitted possessing an offensive weapon in a public place at Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates Court on June 17.
He was caught with an extendable baton on June 2 at Bronllys in Powys.
He was given a four-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months and the baton was destroyed.
He also admitted driving whilst disqualified after being caught at the same location.
He was given a two-month prison sentence to run concurrently, suspended for 12 months, and banned from driving for 19 months.

He was also fined £125 and ordered to pay £128 surcharge and £95 costs after admitting driving without insurance on the same date.
Barry was initially banned from driving for 18 months by the same court on January 27 after he admitted failing to provide a specimen on October 18 in Brecon when he was suspected of committing an offence.
He was also found to have been in possession of cannabis.
