FIVE drivers from the Ammanford and Pontardawe areas have appeared in court for driving offences.

Daniel James Jenkins, 28, of Stewart Drive, Ammanford, admitted speeding at Llanelli Magistrates Court on June 17.

He was caught on February 28 doing 51mph on A483 Talardd Villas near Fairfach, where the limit is 30mph. He was fined £120 and given six points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Kerry Halie Withers, 41, of Caecoed, Llandybie, was found guilty of speeding by Cardiff Magistrates Court on June 16.

She was caught on December 15 doing 39mph on A4067 Brynamman Road, where the limit is 30mph. She was fined £220 and given three points on her licence. She also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Robin Andrew Dobson, 69, of Graig Road, Trebanos, Pontardawe, admitted speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on June 14.

He was caught on April 13 doing 41mph on Birchgrove Road, where the limit is 20mph. He was fined £120 and given six points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Sharon Ruth Bradshaw, 48, of Swansea Road, Trebanos, Pontardawe, was found guilty of speeding by Cardiff Magistrates Court on June 14.

She was caught on December 23 doing 37mph on North Road, where the limit is 30mph. She was fined £220 and given three points on her licence. She also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

A Pontardawe man was caught driving an Audi A4 otherwise in accordance with a licence. Ashleigh William Dennis Davies, 25, of Lon Tan Yr Allt, Pontardawe, admitted the offence at Cardiff Crown Court on June 14.

He was caught on May 6 on Tawe Terrace, Pontardawe, where he was driving the vehicle not covered by his licence. He was fined £40 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
