Two women from the Pontardawe area have been banned from the road for drink driving.

Alannah Pocock, 37, of New Road, Trebanos, Pontardawe, admitted drink driving at Swansea Magistrates Court on June 1.

She was caught on April 23 with 71 microgrammes of alcohol per 100millilitres of breath and was banned from driving for 20 months.

She must also comply with a community order of a 90-day period of abstaining from alcohol and pay £95 surcharge and £85 costs.

Alison Henderson, 50 of Waun Sterw, Rhydyfro, Pontardawe, admitted drink driving at Swansea Magistrates Court on June 1.

She was caught on May 15 with 58 microgrammes of alcohol per 100millilitres of breath and was fined £440 and banned from driving for a year. She also had to pay £44 surcharge and £85 costs.

Anthony Neil McNeilly, 28, of Pheasant Road, Trebanos, Pontardawe, admitted driving without insurance at Swansea Magistrates Court on June 9.

He was caught on April 4 in Neath and was fined £300 and given six points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Matthew Ashley Jones, 31, of Lon Tanyrally, Alltwen, Pontardawe, meanwhile admitted driving without insurance at Cardiff Magistrates Court on June 6.

He was caught on May 3 in Neath and fined £346 and given six points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
