FIVE people from Tivyside have recently appeared in court.

Lorraine Anne Wilson, 56, of Bridge Street, Newcastle Emlyn, was found guilty of failing to provide information by Cardiff Magistrates Court on May 11.

She failed to provide information relating to the driver of a vehicle believed to have been involved in an offence to South Wales Police on November 1. She was fined £660 and banned from driving for six months. She also had to pay £66 surcharge and £90 costs.

Matthew Paul Lally, 22, of Broddewi, Ffosyffin, Aberaeron, was found guilty of driving a vehicle with an indistinguishable or obscured registration by Llanelli Magistrates Court on May 23.

He was caught on December 31 with the front number plate obscured by being tucked into the front windscreen. He was fined £220.

Lally was also fined £440 and given three points on his licence for having ply or cord exposed on the front nearside tyre of the vehicle on the same day. He also had to pay £66 surcharge and £90 costs for this. He was given no further penalty for failing to have a tread depth of at least 1.6mm on the front offside tyre.

Tomos John Jones, 23, of Prengwyn, Llandysul, was ordered by Aberystwyth Justice Centre to give up an undisclosed number of dogs and puppies to Ceredigion County Council. He is set to appear at Aberystwyth Justice Centre on June 13 for trial.

Michael Anthony Williams, 32, of Pumporth Lane, Cilgerran, admitted driving without a valid test certificate at Llanelli Magistrates Court on May 20.

He was caught on December 27 and fined £40. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Clive Geoffrey Wychwood, 48, of Llangoedmor, Cardigan, admitted driving a vehicle with no registration plate at Llanelli Magistrates Court on May 20.

He was caught on December 10 on the A484 Cardigan driving a vehicle and trailer with no registration plate on the rear of the vehicle or trailer. He was fined £40 and ordered to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
